Have you heard the BUZZ?
Friends of Five Rivers is sharing honeybees with Bethlehem Environmental Commons
This season, local beekeeper Ursula Bauer will establish two thriving hive colonies at the farm, helping strengthen pollination and support a healthy agricultural ecosystem. Through this partnership, BeECO and Friends of Five Rivers are joining forces to support pollinator resilience and the wellbeing of honeybees. With hives at both locations, the organizations will exchange knowledge, compare notes, and help their colonies flourish together.
The timing could not be sweeter. The installation of the bat and native pollinator garden designed and organized by Georgia DiRamo, Delmar Troup 1075, and supported by the Bethlehem Garden Club begins later this month.
We are energized by the collaboration of so many people united in their commitment to a healthy environment.
We are watching the weather and following the habits of the bees. The second colony will arrive when the timing is just right.
The buzz is building. Stay tuned!
