NYS Soil Health Field Day is coming to Be-ECO
The New York Soil Health Field Days is a statewide April–October 2026 field day series led by New York Soil Health and partners. The Bethlehem Environmental Commons, Glenmont, NY is pleased to be chosen as the Albany County site.
These field days are designed to:
Share practical, on-farm soil health strategies
Demonstrate cover cropping and conservation practices
Provide region-specific insights for farmers and land managers

The August session highlights the use of cover crops and their role in building soil structure and health. Participants can expect to see live demonstrations of soil health practices in action, including cover crop plots and hands on soil assessments. The program typically brings together farmers, researchers, and extension specialists to share real world experiences and discuss management strategies that can be applied across different agricultural systems. The field day is designed to be interactive, giving attendees the opportunity to ask questions, exchange ideas, and learn directly from both practitioners and experts in the field.
NYS Soil Health Trailer, a mobile laboratory and demonstration display, will be on site for the day.
